BEFORE YOUR VISIT
This is an elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound. We do not offer any kind of medical advice, nor do we provide any assessment of the health, growth, or well being of your baby. For this reason, we require that you have current prenatal care in order to be seen at our facility.
We offer an opportunity for expecting families to see & bond with their unborn baby in a relaxing, comfortable environment.
Our spacious ultrasound suite has a large viewing screen & can comfortably seat up to 10 of your guests. You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring your family & friends if you’d like!
Our goal is to provide a memorable experience for you. Please keep in mind that while our sonographer will try to get the best images possible, there are many factors that affect the quality of your images (baby’s position, placenta, amniotic fluid, mom’s body type, etc.)
Prepare for Your Scan:
To help ensure the best possible images, please be sure to drink plenty of water in the DAYS and WEEKS leading up to your appointment. The more hydrated you are, the clearer your images will be.
For the best results, drink 2 liters of water every day for at least 1 full week prior to your appointment.

THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT
Please arrive at your scheduled time & no more than about 5 minutes early.
Our schedule is by appointment only & we cannot accommodate any early or late arrivals. If you arrive early & our door is locked, please wait & come back just a few minutes before your appointment. Late arrivals may have to be rescheduled.
Try to make sure baby is awake & active.
For the best results, please drink a large, cold glass of apple juice to ensure baby is awake and active for your scan. For diabetic moms, we recommend ice water and a light snack.
If you are 15 weeks or less, you must arrive with a full bladder.
Otherwise, we will not be able to see baby clearly.
Please know the name & phone number of your OB/Midwife.
You will need to provide this info on your registration form when you arrive.
DURING YOUR VISIT
8-13 Weeks: Please be sure that you are at least 8 weeks+. This is important because we do not offer a free rescan if it’s too early to see baby. We also recommend that you have already had an appointment with your OB/GYN to confirm your pregnancy & due date. Prior to 10 weeks, you will NOT be able to hear the heartbeat, as we try to limit the amount of energy emitted to baby at this time. However, you will still be able to see the heart beating.
14+ Weeks: We start gender determination at 14 weeks + 0 days. At this time, we can tell you the gender with a very high accuracy (over 99%). In the unlikely event that we cannot see the gender (usually due to the position of baby or umbilical cord), we will bring you back for a FREE rescan the following week, until we can determine the gender. Any individual who schedules their gender scan prior to 14 weeks gestation will NOT receive a free rescan & will have to return at their own expense.
20-26 Weeks: This is a fun time for 4D ultrasound video. At this stage, baby is usually very active & small enough to see most of their body on the screen at once. If baby is awake, you can see them kick, wave, grab their feet, etc! However, at this time baby will likely be breech, which is not ideal for 3D/4D face pictures. Breech babies like to sit “folded in half”, with their arms and legs in front of their face.
27-34 Weeks: This is the best time to get those up close, detailed pictures of your baby’s face in 3D/4D/HD. Generally by this time baby is head down, which is ideal. Baby is bigger and looks more like a newborn, as the cheeks have filled in nicely with fat! You must be sure to stay well hydrated in the days and weeks leading up to your appointment.
